Trichy Metals and Alloys’ (TMA) history dates back to the 1960s. During its initial years, TMA pioneered in organized trading of non-ferrous scrap metals and life-expired lead batteries. In 1975, TMA diversified its interests into the manufacturing and processing of secondary lead.

Current		The company has gradually augmented its capacity every year. Currently, TMA can produce 22,000 metric tonnes of refined lead per year.
2012		TMA has processed 9000 metric tonnes per year and maintained a YoY augmentation in sales.
1999		Established its second unit.
1975		Started manufacturing and processed secondary lead with a capacity of 50 metric tonnes (crude lead) per year (the first-of-its-kind in Tamil Nadu).
1960		Inception as traders of non-ferrous metal scrap and life expired lead batteries.
